Where we keep half-dressed children in cages and the dog lays around all day in the pool.
Sad, isn't it.
As far as I'm concerned this was the best possible way for us to get a dog. With Lee around it was inevitable that we would get a dog at some point. This way we end up with a dog that I can't feed, walk, or really take care of in anyway because Lee is the boss of her world and she only listens to him. She's not supposed to be inside making a mess of my floors because she's supposed to be outside getting used to the weather and being bored. Apparently they have to be bored at home so it's fun to go to work. I admit I felt bad at first, it just seemed cruel to keep her outside, so we had her inside. That lasted until Lee took her to work and she failed miserably at drug searches because she wasn't used to the weather and she was too tired to work. Oops! I guess there is no more being soft-hearted, we have to think of her as a tool, not a pet. In other Anja news, at this point she tolerates Mitchell, but she tries to avoid him. I think he's just a little too rowdy for her. She likes her peace and quiet, that one. I guess if I'd spent my life in a loud kennel with a bunch of crazy barking dogs, I'd want a little quiet myself.

OH my hysterical. I do believe you have your Christmas Card photo of Mitchell!
Poor Anja. Such a fancy name for a tool.
i love it!!!
Kelsey,
I love stalking your blog and reading your posts. They are hilarious! That dog looks big enough to eat Mitchell though. I don't know if you ARE a fit parent with that big police dog AND a handgun; not to mention keeping your child in a cage...
I figure as long as mitchell isnt riding the dog whilst weiding the handgun...you are doing your job right. well done.
Sometimes I wish I had a cage for my kids...
