Toddler photoshoot

I'm not a fan of 'professional' photography places. Especially after the green fairy incident from Mitchell's six month pictures. I just don't like the fakey backgrounds and props and what nots. Add that to the fact that Mitchell is a squirmy two year old who hates having his picture taken and generally refuses to smile on cue. I decided to take him to the park here in Boise and use my moms fancy camera to try to get a few shots. Grandma was very obliging and came along to help. We got many a shot of his typical serious, thoughtful face, a few rebellious scowls, and abundant shots of Mitchell running around a tree.

Amidst all the weird shots we got a couple that I'm happy with.

I know the second one isn't so much a typical smiley shot, but I like it because it looks like Mitchell. He's more likely to have that face than pretty much any other. Looking back through the pictures I realized how old he's looking. There really is just no baby left to him, he's just big!

Those are cute pictures! I do like the ones where he's being himself (running around a tree, making funny faces). I think you'll be happy to have those one day when you look back at him at this age.

He is just the epitome of you and Lee!

(good thing you're both good lookin'!)

I love the one right before the last one. It looks sooo professional. But yes they are all great. How can you fail with such a cute subject? Are you home?
