Holy cow we bought a car! For months we've been looking around, trying to find an Odyssey that had the features I wanted, that I was willing to pay for. And on Tuesday we accidentally stumbled upon one. It was not so much love at first sight, the color is not what I was looking for. But, everything else is pretty much exactly what I wanted. You'll notice that Lee is not mentioned much in this car deciding process. This is because he didn't want a minivan and says it's my car and I have to do the decision making. He's secretly in love with it though I think. How could he not be? The most I can get out of him is that it's 'comfortable'. I haven't been able to drive it much because Mitchell and I left for Boise the day after we bought it, but the little driving I did do was a pleasure. Yes, I know it's not glamorous and I look like a soccer mom or something, but in my opinion it's the perfect family car.(Disclaimer: I already know that a few of you have strong angry feelings about minivans, sssshhh!) I'm pretty proud of myself for walking into a car dealership and doing a little bargaining to get them to lower the price. That's something that grown ups do! I'm sure we probably didn't get a super deal, we are clueless after all, but I'm happy with where we ended up. My only real concern is whether or not it's bad luck to buy a car that you got pulled over in while test driving? Oops!

Welcome to the world of the minivan mom. And an Odyssey was an excellent choice.
Hey, I felt great when I became a van lady. You know you're ready for van-dom when you don't care about style, only about comfort and practicality. (SO much better to buckle kids in and out of car seats in a van!)
Congrats.
Look again at this huge thing you fail to mention. I wouldn't have given you that much crap really :). Ian is far more opinionated about minivans than I am. For once huh! I think you and Adena may be matchers now. I'm pretty sure that is what she has too. I will secretly envy your abundant cupholders and ability to fit six kids in your car.
YOU GOT PULLED OVER WHILE YOU WERE TEST DRIVING A MINI VAN?
I will let the caps speak for themselves.
Congrats on the minivan... even though I might have to side with Lee on this one, me being one of those anti-mini-van-ers, I still think it's awesome that you got one! (I'm only anti because I had to drive our family's old ghetto van in high school. And that was NOT awesome.) But the Odyssey is sweet! :)
rofl! we went through the same thing. rhett said he never wanted ours, but he LOVE it now. lee will warm up to it. hurray for mini vans! =)
