In a random coincidence Jayna and I have both decided that these crazy economic times are just perfect for selling a house. We put a for sale sign in our yard Saturday. This sign placement was preceeded by a great deal of cleaning and organizing, which lead to a house that still needs to be cleaned daily. Why doesn't stuff just stay clean? I hate cleaning, and am thus dreading the idea of keeping this place clean enough for people to come see it. Assuming of course that anyone wants to see it. People keep taking flyers out of our box, but we've had no calls. So whatever. Despite the no good economy this is pretty much the only time of year to sell a house in this town because it's packed with snowbirds. The only people crazy enough to actually want to live here. We're not officially going anywhere at this point, we just don't want to have a house tying us down when something actually comes up. Obviously our goal has always been to get out of this place. You may ask, 'If you knew you didn't want to stay there long term, why did you buy a house?' To which I would reply, 'Mind your own business'. I really have no good answer for that question, it all would have been fine if the economic world hadn't fallen apart. So everyone, pray along with us that our house will sell and we'll be able to move to a real place. A place with stores, people our age, other children, trees, maybe grass, and booksellers who wear clothing.

Booksellers who wear clothing? Seriously, don't get your hopes up TOO high.
I would think that the bookselling factor is reason enough to want to leave Quartzsite. :)
I wish you all of the luck in the world fellow house-seller.
And honestly, other children are over-rated.
My fingers and toes are crossed!
Hmmm, I wonder who else is being inspired to sell their house? And- yay for boys!
