We've returned from our winter adventures, and most of our mess is unpacked, so I figured it's time to do a massive catch up blog post. Be prepared for many pictures.
Our Christmas fun began in Phoenix. We went up there Christmas Eve and spent some time with Lee's extended family (including their pet Pomeranian that Mitchell refused to call anything other than a cat, he's used to real dogs I suppose). We went to see the temple lights at the Mesa Temple, and then settled into bed so Santa could come.
The next morning Christmas started a little later than everyone wanted, we had to wait for Mitchell to wake up, sleepyhead. I think all gifts were well received. Mitchell's wildest dreams were fulfilled when he opened his very own drumset.
He played it for hours on Christmas, mostly he's going to have severe hearing damage by the time he's 10.
The next day we left for Idaho. We had a second Christmas, which Mitchell was in a pretty foul mood for. He was kind of sleep deprived, and not used to all the people yet. We got some lovely presents. That weekend we spent some time in McCall, sledding, ice skating, and hanging out.
Mitchell discovered that for him, the real joy of snow, is eating it. He refused to wear gloves and spent his time in the snow plunging his frozen hands in and then licking the snow off.
After McCall we headed back to Boise where Mitchell spent time bossing his aunts and uncles around and throwing exercise balls down the stairs for others to fetch.
It was very nice to spend all that time with family, I'll think we'll all spend a little time getting used to not having people around to entertain us. Obviously, that was somewhat of a brief overview of the last few weeks, I'll try to fill in some blanks later.

I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to you- Sunday unraveled into a fit of tears so chaos ensued.
It was great to see you, as usual! Loved the mother's lounge!
A white Christmas. How fun!
It was so fun to see you at Christmas and now that I am getting the hang of this blog thing I hope we can stay in touch better. I love the pictures of Mitchell in the snow. All I can say is that you are a brave woman to give a two year old a drum set. Still, he will probably thank you when he's awesome someday.
It was fun to have you all here for Christmas. It's a bit quieter around here - the drum sets and exercise balls are put away. Good luck with your sewing projects!
