Last week we took a little trip to Phoenix to hang out with Lee's family. We did lots of shopping, eating, and hanging out. Mitchell helped grandpa make kachinas, or 'chias' as he calls them. We went to the zoo where we fed aggressive goats, laughed at the monkeys, and fed some giraffes. The giraffes freaked Mitchell out a little bit, he decided they were monsters. He also had an unfortunate run in with a swan. He was feeding the ducks little pellets and I guess the swan was sick of waiting and decided to eat Mitchell's hand instead. I thought he handled it very well, probably better than I would if my entire hand was in a yucky bird's mouth. On our way out of the zoo Mitchell requested multiple carousel rides, which grandpa was happy to oblige. By the time we were done we were all exhausted and dirty, but it was worth it! On Sunday before we headed home we stopped to see Lee's grandma. Yet another person who thinks Mitchell walks on water. Come to think of it, she seems to think Lee walks on water as well. She's a very nice lady, and it was good to visit with her.

Bumpa and I can't get over how much older he looks since we saw him just a few weeks ago. Bumpa also says you look older (ha!). Hmmm...I'm thinking he needs a little brother now that he's getting so big. Just a thought.
So that's where you've been- looks like fabulous times! I'm glad that we'll see you guys in a few weeks.
About the blog...this makeover is a little more intense and impossible to explain, so I'll just log in as you and do it for you.
So much fun. There is nothing like helping with kachinas, some of my best memories with grandma Pooley. It was good to see a picture of grandma Soles, she looks wonderful!
