Most Enjoyable

My parents seem to be establishing a tradition of visiting us in October. They came to visit almost exactly a year ago and we put them to work. This time was no different. They made themselves most useful. They assembled garden boxes, hung various things on the walls, and built a dresser that came in a million pieces with no written instructions. Really we should just let them relax and enjoy their trip, but there isn't really much to do in this town. Luckily, they're not only useful, but fun to have around. We enjoyed hanging out, watching football, and watching Mitchell descend into toddlerhood. We're hoping that the fact that we make them work won't keep them from coming back next year.

We had a fun time visiting and because there isn't a lot of other distractions in lovely Quartzsite, it's fun to do some work around the house. It always gives you a feeling of accomplishment to look at a finished job - and then a feeling of frustration when you see the dog has tromped through the new garden and your toddler has taken the permanent marker to his walls. Fortunately, neither of those things have happened to you yet - but be on the lookout!

Mitchell's room looks so cool! I love the bright colors and especially the easle. It's always great to be creative whenevever you feel inspired instead of having to drag everything out. Your garden looks great too!

Mitchell's room looks awesome! And your gardens. What did you plant? I'm quite jealous. Mine have been something we will do "this weekend" for about 3 months now *sigh*. Oh well we will do it eventually.
