We've lived in this fine town for five months, and until yesterday I had never been to the library. That might seem odd to those of you who know that I like to read. I was just a bit skeptical. The library is in the same small building that also houses all of the city offices, including the police department. I was picturing some dark dingy little room packed with dusty paperback romance novels and perhaps a few ancient westerns thrown in for good measure. Once again Quartzsite has suprised me. I'm not going to lie and tell you the library was spacious and inviting, but, considering what they have to work with, it was not half bad. They actually had books, new ones, and lots of them. Really they had pretty decent variety and many more books than I had thought possible. They even have a pretty large kid's section. And best of all, Mitchell now has one more place to go where everyone falls all over themselves trying to make him smile.

Hey - I am glad that you have found a library - I know that will bring you and Little Mitch hours of enjoyment. Just don't let them know about your $12.00 fine at the Blythe Library. I hope they don't have a secret network of librarians for your sake! Mom
This has to be better than the Provo library where all the "good" parts have either been removed or blacked out! ;)
When the people try to make him smile - does he give them the "stone stare" in response or perhaps the "knitted brow"? He has quite a selection of looks to choose from for someone so young.
