This morning Mitchell and Lee snuck away for a little fishing. Despite not catching a single thing, Mitchell declared it, "The funnest day ever". Lee spent the whole time getting Mitchell's line off the various things it was snagged on, but I think he had fun too.
Then this evening we headed to the local 'Family Fun Pumpkin Patch', put on by a local church. They were working a pirate theme, with heavy usage of Capt. Jack Sparrow's image. Pretty sure they're not paying Disney for that one. Please notice in the following pictures I got not one decent picture of Sam, he's big into making strange faces as opposed to smiling.
First stop, the hay maze, which we quit halfway through because I didn't have the patience to endlessly wander through the itchy hay.
Next stop was the petting zoo, which was not so much worth taking pictures of.
And then, onto the hay ride. Sam was excited to see a trailer and a tractor, two of his favorite things. We were looking forward to the ride, however, the longer we stood there waiting to be loaded onto the trailer, the more it became apparent that the cause of the delay was the driver's inability to turn on the tractor. You can't even figure out how to turn the thing on and I'm trusting you to drive this ginormous tractor safely around a field? Yes, we still got on, and lived to tell the tale.
Please ignore my crazy face and the shady fellow sitting next to me.
We stopped at the pumpkin patch where the boys picked out ridiculously overpriced pumpkins.
We played a little twilight mini golf. There are no future Tiger Woods' in our family.
The boys wanted to go on a pony ride, which I totally did not see happening. They'd never so much as seen a pony before, and I thought the chances were pretty slim they'd be willing to climb on one. They proved me wrong. They both jumped right up and enjoyed their rides.
It was a fun evening and a good kickoff to the upcoming Halloween festivities.
And lastly, in honor of Halloween, photographic proof of demonic possession.

Wow! Our pumpkin patch only had pumpkins and a hay maze. Looks like you guys had a memorable time!
By the way, do your in-laws still live close to Phoenix? I was just wondering because we were visiting my in-laws there last week. I wondered how often you visit them and how long that drive is for you. Basically what I'm saying is, would it be possible to get together with you next time I visit Scottsdale? That would be awesome if we could work something out.
Looked like a fun day out with the family - I am glad that Mitchell got to go fishing with his super-duper fishing pole. I will have to be sure that Grandpa sees those pictures! I'm glad you guys had fun - now get ready for the candy overload!
Sadly, most "fall" stuff isn't really that fun. Hay mazes? Not fun. Corn mazes? Same. Overpriced pumpkins? Same. Sometimes I think you're paying for a photo op...
My girls were dually impressed by the pony riding!
Luke is getting so big!
You look REALLY excited about that hay ride. I've seen that look on a hayride once before...
Why didn't you post the one with you hearing voices as well as the little demon?
Looks like a lot of fun! And im really curious about what the heck Jayna is talking about!
