This kid shows no interest in toys for the most part. His greatest entertainers are my pots and pans. These seem to be endlessly fascinating, put the lid on, take the lid off, put something in the pot, put the lid on, over and over. My pots are rarely in the cupboard where they belong, the are most often strewn all over the house. Mande was nice enough to let us have an extra set of little pots she had laying around, he loves playing with those as well. This was very nice of her, but it's created a problem for me. Play pots and pans were the only thing I could think of to get him for Christmas, now I've got nothing. What do you get a kid who doesn't care about books or toys? No idea.
He still isn't interested in talking. The only real word he says in Anja, this applies to Anja and all dogs, or anything that looks like a dog. He makes an 'h' sound for all things that are hot, cold, or owie, and that's the extent of his language. We've been teaching him a little bit of sign language, one of those parenting things I said I wouldn't do. He's learned 'more' and sort of 'juice', not a lot of words, but it does cut down on the grunting and pointing. He'll start chatting eventually, and until then he's pretty good at letting us know what's going on with him.

Glad he is enjoying them. He needs a kitchen to put his pots in. A manly kitchen of course. :)

Get him a real mini broom and dustpan. My kids love that stuff.
