More Visitors!

This weekend Lee's parents came for a visit. We hit the DC highlights and made a trip to Gettysburg (which was very worth it). It was crazy hot while they were here, I felt bad making them trek from monument to monument. Mitchell loved hanging out with Nana and 'Bumpa', which is what he calls both grandpas. I think he especially loved that Nana let him help with the cooking. He looked pretty darn cute stirring and salting the scrambled eggs. We're glad they made the trek over here!

We head home this Friday. I'm kind of looking forward to being in my own house again. I'm pretty much a homebody, I just prefer being at home to most other things. And call me weird, but I'm really looking forward to grocery shopping! I've always liked grocery shopping, it's guilt free money spending. We have to eat right! When we left I cleared pretty much everything out of our kitchen, so we're going to have to do some major Costco/grocery store shopping when we get to Phoenix.

In other news, Lee found out recently that he's been accepted to be a canine handler. So this means he'll have a dog full time. As in it lives at our house, etc. This also means that he'll be leaving in August to go to a 6 week training academy. I'm really not looking forward to that, but really after his 5 month academy, I think we can handle this one. The dogs are trained to sniff for drugs and people (so don't worry Jayna, it won't be attacking Mitchell, I know you were thinking it). Lee has strict instructions that he's only allowed to come home with a nice, friendly dog. Much to Lee's delight this also means that the Border Patrol will be giving him a truck to drive. Much to my delight it comes with an increase in pay. More grocery shopping! Yea!

I am glad that you were able to spend time with the Pooley Grandparents - they're lucky!!! I guess you will just have to plan to come up here while Lee is at the dog training academy - talk her into it Jayna!!! She needs to see your cute little (and fat) baby girl in person!

I totally agree--plus, the only way I'm going to be able to kidnap Mitchell and save him from your frothing at the mouth new family member is if you actually bring him up for a visit.

Plus, he needs to meet Lila since they are betrothed.

Gettysburg- how amazing was that!?

Wow I am very impressed. Dog training academy sounds like hard work & very cool. Does Lee like his job? It sounds like somthing my husband would love.
