Lee had the day off on Monday, so we decided to take a little trip to the local sand dunes. Because that's what you do when you live in a sandy little desert town, you drive an hour to find even more sand. Mitchell had a great time running up and down the dunes, though he did have a moment where he just stopped walking and lay in the sand to 'rest'. Sam didn't have as much fun. I suspect it's because the very first step he took resulted in a face plant and a mouth full of sand. He found walking on the sand a little hard. Of course, it could have also been the fact that he spent most of the morning with a diaper full of sand. I did as little walking as possible, walking in sand is hard, and I'm lazy like that. It was a quick little trip, but it was nice to get out of the house for a bit. And now some pictures, you know, for the grandparents.

Awesome pictures! Love all the posts!!
Aww, so cute. I can't believe you only have 6 weeks left! This pregnancy has flown by (for me, who lives a thousand miles away).
I am glad to see some more regular posts! I am going to have to check in on the blogs a little more often. I've gotten into the habit of not checking because nothing ever changes! I am glad that you guys could get out - you better enjoy it while it's just the 4 of you - even if one of them is sassy and hard to deal with. He will eventually grow out of that, but he'll grow into something else - like driving a car, hanging out with friends, etc. So, enjoy his "little" tantrums while you can!
Dunes? Local? What? This requires a snow sled or car hood or whatever is handy.
