So, my blogging hiatus had multiple causes. Our computer/internet began having issues with allowing me to upload pictures. And what fun is blogging if you can't share pictures? I think I've found a way around that issue, although the computer gods get angry if I try to add more than two pictures at a time. In addition to my computer issues, I was just getting tired of trying to think of things to write that anybody would want to read. However, I'm feeling a little isolated lately, and this kinda keeps me in touch with the rest of the world. It's also our family journal, because heaven knows I've never been a journal writer.
You haven't missed anything too exciting in our lives, just the usual goings on really. Mitchell has become a moody teenager. Everything is 'No!', 'I don't have to!', and 'Cuz, I'll just be naughty'. He seems to enjoy contradicting me just for the sake of contradicting me. The other night he did three back to back time outs. Sometimes I feel like I'm speaking Chinese for all the listening he does. When he's being nice however, he's a pleasure to be around. He's still really into space and wanders around talking about supernovas.
Sam has been walking for about a month. He gets around pretty well and is already proving himself to be an adventurer. Mitchell was kind of a serious kid and didn't seem to do a lot of the things I heard about other kids doing. Sam has introduced him to the world of emptying kitchen cupboards, smudging up the TV, and climbing into places you're not supposed to be. It's kinda like having two 11 month olds around. He hasn't had anything to say yet, he mostly communicates by grunting, gesturing, and occaisionally glaring, he's pretty good at getting his point across.
We continue to live in the outskirts of Hell and are very much hoping that the rumors of possible transfers are true. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Ahh, the moody teenage years that last about 14 years--yikes. I hear you on that one. What did nice girls like us do to deserve such naughty children?
Glad to have you back. Reporting that you're living the same life as us is still interesting reading.
In honor of your blog return, I will deck out your blog and fix the pictures you sent AND call you again.
See what a little effort will get you?
Kudos Kuartzsite Kelsey!
Welcome back my friend! I've clicked on your blog several times in the last few month hoping that maybe you'd have something new even though it said you hadn't posted for 3 months. It's fun to see you back.
I need to call you too, but of course I've lost your number again. Maybe I'll call your mom and make her give it to me for the hundredth time.
My girls are like sassy teenagers too. It drives me nuts. We're only 2 weeks into summer and I'm already a little excited about school next fall.
Cody also taught Nathan how to be mischevious. It was fun to see Nathan learn how to be a "regular" boy along with Cody. :)
Good to have you back-look, none of us are leading more interesting lives either. We're just hoping someone else is so that we'll get some good reading. :)
so glad you're back! your blog has always been one of my favorites to read!
as far as mitchel, one of the books thats changed our lives as far as disciplining goes is called "magic 1-2-3." go check it out and i promise you will think you have a new kid!
