Well, I really don't have much to blog about, but I haven't written anything for a while, so I'm sure you're all dying to know what I've been up to. Our Christmas was good. We spent Christmas Eve here at home. I made Christmas dinner for the first time ever. I was thinking about doing a turkey, but I was too chicken to try, so I made ham. I don't eat ham, so I don't know how it tasted, hopefully it was good. We had some friends over to eat. Then Christmas morning we opened our presents. Mitchell of course was mostly just excited about the wrapping paper. Poor little thing was sick, his first fever, so he probably wasn't feeling too great. Then we spent the rest of the day in Phoenix with Lee's family. While we were there Mitchell said his first word which, randomly enough, was 'apple'. He now has a very large vocabulary of two words, 'apple' and 'hi'. It's strange to hear him use actual words. Our New Years was very uneventful, I went to bed early, which is probably just as well, I doubt Quartzsite has a big New Years bash. So that's it, all the exciting things you've been missing out on.

well, that's exciting! his first two words! that is really funny that the first one was apple. do you have any idea as to why he chose that fruit over say, an orange? or grape perhaps?
i'm the same way about blogging. i don't have anything interesting to write about, but at least you have a baby to gush over. i don't think many people care that my cats have stopped shedding as much because i switched their cat food. exciting to me...not so much for everyone else.
congrats on his first word!
Now if your baby stops shedding, that really would be something....
I for one am very excited to read about your life. And your weirdness that you made a ham you didn't eat. Can't wait to see you in a few days!
Those are great first two words.
Also I feel you on the ham. I don't really love it either. I'm all about white meat--get it. Ha ha.
Hey Kelsey. I have a long weekend coming up . . . maybe I'll have to pay a visit to Quartzsite and get the grand tour. :)
