Last night Lee and Mitchell went camping with the scouts. Mitchell had the time of his life. He returned home dirty, smelly, and worn out. He now knows the joys of throwing stuff in a fire just to watch it burn, hiking up dangerous mountains in the dark, sleeping in a tent, and peeing outside. I'm surprised and proud that he made it all night. The kid barely tolerates sleeping in his own bed, I didn't think he'd be okay with tent dwelling. Turns out he loves it. Miraculously all this fun occurred with no bodily harm to anyone, with the exception of a small burn Mitchell got while cooking a hot dog. He is now fully initiated into the ways of boys.

thats the cutest thing ever!
That really is adorable. All his boy-ness. This is definitely a milestone! What a nice Dad to take him along!
It's fun to see Mitchell growing up and doing all of those boy things. I remember a picture of Jeff at his first Fathers and Sons outing with his binky in his mouth. I am glad that there are men out there who will take boys camping because I would rather be poked in the eye with a sharp stick (which I understand happens quite a bit on Scout campouts!)I am glad he survived and had fun. Good Job Lee! (Grandpa is looking online at Cabelas for an appropriate sleeping bag for a birthday present for Mitchell right now)
So cute Kels. I've had many camping trips where I've worried the kids were going to be cold and cranky only to find they liked it than me--go figure. Mitchell's becoming quite the little man.
Looks like you have a little man on you hands!
