A few days before Mitchell's birthday we had a little party for him. Cake was eaten, presents were opened, and kids ran around in sugar-induced hyperness. Mitchell was very happy his little buddies could come and show him how to ride his new bike.
A few days later we abandoned Mitchell on his actual birthday, and headed for Vegas. Lee and a few coworkers were given a trip to a Nascar race as a reward for being such darn good agents. We thought that was pretty funny. Nascar isn't much of a reward for someone who doesn't care about Nascar, but it was a free trip to Vegas. So we dropped Mitchell off with Lee's parents where he had all sorts of fun and was subjected to all manner of spoiling, and we hit the road. We enjoyed some tasty (free, thanks Uncle Sam) food, and tried to avoid all the creepy people on the strip. Lee finally got to eat his fill of seafood, which he is often deprived of. I wasn't invited to the actual race (darn) so that day I read by the pool and went to a movie. Lee actually enjoyed the race, despite having no idea who anyone was. He enjoyed being treated like a VIP redneck, and captured some lovely mullet photos for me. So thanks Lee, for being such a stellar employee, and thanks American government for providing me with a free vacation despite these rough economic times.

Sounds like a fun trip. You'll have to let us know next time you guys are up this way. It'd be fun to meet Lee and go to dinner with you guys.
Looks like fun. I am jealous of the poolside reading. I could go for some of that right now.
I am at once disgusted and happy that you got to enjoy a little kid-free vacation!
(disgusted only by the gov. paid part..but at least you weren't chartered on a private jet...and besides the fact that you totally deserve it because of what Lee does, and that you stay home waiting for him...)
Sounds fun! I agree with the poolside reading vs. the nascar. Good choice!
Those mullet (mull-lay) pics are priceless- you could demand top dollar for them! Isn't it ironic that wild Vegas has tons of members in it?
